RESOLUTION NO. 2025-340
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT
NO. 1 WITH MCCLURE ENGINEERING, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $268,840.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026
DAKOTA DRIVE EXTENSION, CONTRACT NO. 1129, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo has initiated the FY 2026 Dakota Drive Extension
project, designated as Contract No. 1129, to enhance roadway infrastructure and support
community development; and
WHEREAS, McClure Engineering has been selected to provide engineering and design
services for this project, requiring additional scope and services defined under Supplemental
Agreement No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the supplemental agreement outlines specific tasks and responsibilities to be
fulfilled by McClure Engineering, thereby necessitating an amendment to the original contract;
and
WHEREAS, the total additional cost associated with Supplemental Agreement No. 1 is
$268,840.00, representing fair and reasonable compensation for the expanded scope of
professional services; and
WHEREAS, it is determined to be in the city's best interest to finalize this agreement to
ensure project continuity and timely completion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with McClure Engineering, in the amount of
$268,840.00, is hereby approved as part of the FY 2026 Dakota Drive Extension project,
Contract No. 1129.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
