RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2024-493,
EXECUTED AUGUST 19, 2024, APPROVING A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ISG, INC.,
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, TO AMEND THE AMOUNT TO 7.5
PERCENT OF THE TOTAL COST OF FURNITURE
PURCHASED FOR THE WATERLOO CONVENTION
CENTER, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FURNITURE PLAN
AND BID FOR THE WATERLOO CONVENTION CENTER.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo previously executed Resolution No. 2024-493 on
August 19, 2024, which approved a Professional Services Agreement with ISG, Inc., for services
related to the Furniture Plan and Bid for the Waterloo Convention Center; and
WHEREAS, after further evaluation of project requirements and financial planning, it has
been determined that amending the compensation structure to a percentage of the total cost of
furniture purchased would better align with project scope and budgetary management; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment sets this compensation structure to 7.5 percent of
the total cost of furniture purchased, ensuring fair and equitable compensation for the services
rendered by ISG, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, this adjustment facilitates more accurately priced services aligned with
procurement expenses, thereby enhancing fiscal efficiency and accountability within the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The Professional Services Agreement with ISG, Inc., as approved by Resolution No.
2024-493, is hereby amended to establish compensation at 7.5 percent of the total cost of
furniture purchased for the Waterloo Convention Center.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
