RESOLUTION NO. 2012-1148
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE REQUEST
OF PRIME RE, LLC FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO
THE "S-1" SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT FOR
PROPERTY GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS 2027
CROSSROADS BOULEVARD (FORMERLY BONANZA
RESTAURANT), AS DECEMBER 17, 2012, AT 5:30
P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO,
IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th day of December, 2012,
for the purpose of considering the request of Prime RE, LLC for a
site plan amendment to the "S-1" Shopping Center District for
property generally described as 2027 Crossroads Boulevard
(formerly Bonanza restaurant) to allow for the construction of a
new 13,975 square foot retail strip mall, and legally described
as follows:
Lot 1, Crossroads Plat No. 1, Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa; and
A part of the East One-half of Section 2, Township 88
North, Range 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian,
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as
follows:
Commencing at a point on the Southeasterly right-of-way
line of East San Marnan Drive formerly Iowa Highway No.
412, which is 1457.72 feet Northeasterly from the
intersection of said Southeasterly right-of-way line
155.36 feet; thence South 41 degrees 24 minutes 00
seconds East 5.32 feet; thence North 48 degrees 36
minutes 00 seconds East 284.26 feet to the point of
beginning; thence North 48 degrees 36 minutes 00
seconds East 195.57 feet; thence South 05 degrees 36
minutes 28 seconds East 129.96 feet; thence South 90
degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 159.40 feet to the
point of beginning.
NOTE: It is assumed that the Southeasterly right-of-
way line of East San Marnan Drive formerly Iowa Highway
No. 412 bears N 48°36'00" E, at the point where it
crosses the West line of the East One-half of Section
2-88-13.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
