RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH HYDRITE
CHEMICAL COMPANY FOR THE EXPANSION OF A 9,400
SQUARE FOOT INDUSTRIAL BUILDING IN THE
AIRPORT TIF DISTRICT, ADDING $300,000.00 OF
TAXABLE VALUE TO THE SITE, AND TAX REBATES
FOR 5 YEARS AT 50 PERCENT, AS DECEMBER 17,
2012, AT 5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th day of December, 2012,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposed
Development Agreement with Hydrite Chemical Company for the
expansion of a 9,400 square foot industrial building in the
Airport TIF District, adding $300,000.00 of taxable value to the
site, and tax rebates for 5 years at 50 percent, and legally
described as follows:
All that part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 10,
Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th P.M.,
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, lying within the
following described boundary: Commencing at a point
which is 58 feet South of the North line of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section and 901.12 feet East
of the West line of the Northwest Quarter of said
Section, thence South 0°11'45" a distance of 375.71
feet, thence South 1056145" East a distance of 174.39
feet, thence North 89055'00" East 1,717.17 feet to a
point 25 feet West of the East line of the Northwest
Quarter of said Section, thence North along a line
parallel with the East Line of said Northwest Quarter a
distance of 556 feet, thence South 89055100" West a
distance of 1,724.62 feet to the point of beginning,
except that part to City of Waterloo as described in
560 LD 287.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
