RESOLUTION NO. 2025-358
RESOLUTION APPROVING FY26-28 FUNDING
RECOMMENDATION HOME CONSORTIUM
CONSOLIDATED PLAN/ANNUAL ACTION PLAN WITH
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo participates in the HOME Consortium to enhance
affordable housing opportunities and community development in partnership with federal
programs; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development of Waterloo has prepared the FY26-28
HOME Consortium Consolidated Plan/Annual Action Plan which sets forth the funding
recommendations and strategic initiatives to be undertaken in the upcoming fiscal periods; and
WHEREAS, the Plan outlines allocation strategies and projects aimed at improving
housing affordability, accessibility, and related community resources for the benefit of all
citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations and supports their
alignment with local housing and community development priorities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the proposed FY26-28 funding recommendation
outlined in the HOME Consortium Consolidated Plan/Annual Action Plan.
2. The City affirms its commitment to the Plan's objectives, supporting initiatives that
promote quality, affordable housing and sustainable development across the community.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
