RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE
OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF 180
WARP DRIVE TO CEDAR RIVER CONTRACTING, INC.,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns certain real property located east of 180 Warp
Drive, which is deemed suitable for conveyance to support local development initiatives; and
WHEREAS, Cedar River Contracting, Inc. has proposed the acquisition of two parcels
totaling 13.1 acres for business expansion or related uses; and
WHEREAS,the proposed transaction includes the conveyance of nine (9)acres of city-
owned property in the amount of$1.00 to facilitate economic development, and an additional 4.1
acres in the amount of$123,000.00, reflecting fair market value; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to proceed with the sale and conveyance to
encourage investment,job creation, and urban development within the City of Waterloo;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the sale and conveyance of the aforementioned
properties to Cedar River Contracting, Inc. in accordance with the terms described.
2. The City Council recognizes that this sale and conveyance serve the public interest by
promoting local economic development and contributing to the community's growth objectives.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of June 2025.
