RESOLUTION NO. 2025-361 RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT AND MINIMUM ASSESSMENT AGREEMENT WITH CEDAR RIVER CONTRACTING, WITH A MINIMUM ASSESSED VALUE OF $3,000,00.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, Cedar River Contracting has proposed a development project that aligns with these goals, contributing to local economic enhancement; and WHEREAS, the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement ensures that the subject property will maintain a minimum assessed value of$3,000,000.00, thereby enhancing the tax base and ensuring stable revenue for municipal services; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the public interest to enter into this agreement to promote sustainable development and financial stability; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The City Council hereby approves the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement with Cedar River Contracting, setting a minimum assessed property value of $3,000,000.00. 2. The City reaffirms its dedication to infrastructural and economic development that benefits the community at large by supporting initiatives that align with the city's growth objectives. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
