RESOLUTION NO. 2025-362 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF 7.57 ACRES OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY, LOCATED NORTH OF 4050 LEVERSEE ROAD TO ZYDECO INVESTMENTS, LLC IN THE AMOUNT OF $712,000.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns certain real property located east of 4050 Leversee Road, which is deemed suitable for conveyance to support local development initiatives; and WHEREAS, Zydeco Investments, LLC has proposed to purchase the subject property, totaling 7.57 acres, for the amount of $712,000.00, representing its fair market value; and WHEREAS, the conveyance of this property is expected to stimulate economic growth, enhance property utilization, and contribute positively to the local community; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the sale is in the best interest of the City and its residents in promoting urban development; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The City Council hereby approves the sale and conveyance of 7.57 acres of city - owned property located north of 4050 Leversee Road to Zydeco Investments, LLC for the amount of $712,000.00. 2. The City Council acknowledges that this transaction serves the public interest by supporting economic development and enhancing the city's tax base. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
