RESOLUTION NO. 2025-363 RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT AND MINIMUM ASSESSMENT AGREEMENT WITH ZYDECO INVESTMENTS, LLC, WITH A MINIMUM ASSESSED VALUE OF $3,000,00.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo seeks to support economic development and enhance its tax base through strategic development agreements; and WHEREAS, Zydeco Investments, LLC has proposed a development project for city property, promising substantial community and economic benefits; and WHEREAS, the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement stipulates a minimum assessed value of $3,000,000.00 for the property, ensuring a stable increase in the city's tax base; and WHEREAS, such development projects align with and further the city's goals for economic growth and sustainable urban development; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The City Council approves the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement with Zydeco Investments, LLC, setting a minimum assessed value of $3,000,000.00. 2. The city reaffirms its commitment to supporting projects that enhance economic development and sustainability, benefiting the wider Waterloo community. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
