RESOLUTION NO. 2025-365
RESOLUTION APPROVING A FY26 CONTRACT WITH
GROUT MUSEUM, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $625,000.00,
TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND ENHANCE
THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the importance of educational services and
cultural resources in enhancing the quality of life and community engagement for its residents;
and
WHEREAS, Grout Museum, Inc. has provided invaluable educational services and
cultural programming that greatly benefit the community of Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, a contract amounting to $625,000.00 has been proposed for FY26 to support
Grout Museum's ongoing efforts in delivering these essential services and initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the public interest to approve this contract to
continue fostering educational and cultural opportunities within Waterloo;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the FY26 contract with Grout Museum, Inc. in the
amount of $625,000.00, allocated for providing educational services and enhancing cultural
experiences for the residents of Waterloo.
2. The City reaffirms its commitment to working with local organizations like Grout
Museum, Inc. to promote educational outreach, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning
opportunities.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
