RESOLUTION NO. 2025-366
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ATTORNEY FEE
AGREEMENT WITH LANGE AND MCMAHON OF
INDEPENDENCE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 IN
CONJUNCTION WITH ONGOING LEGAL
REPRESENTATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo requires ongoing legal representation to effectively
manage legal matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; and
WHEREAS, Lange and McMahon of Independence, Iowa, have been identified as
capable legal representatives with expertise pertinent to the city's legal needs; and
WHEREAS, an Attorney Fee Agreement has been proposed in the amount of $30,000.00
to secure their services for continued representation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that entering into this agreement is in the
best interest of the City and its residents, ensuring comprehensive legal representation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Attorney Fee Agreement with Lange and
McMahon in the amount of $30,000.00 for ongoing legal representation and services.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
