RESOLUTION NO. 2025-370
RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH INVISION
ARCHITECTURE, LLC DATED JANUARY 20, 2025, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $10,000.00, TO ADD ADDITIONAL SERVICES
FOR RAKER RHODES TO PROVIDE THE STRUCTURAL
ASSESSMENT OF THE REGIONS BANK BUILDING, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo previously entered into a professional services
agreement with INVISION Architecture, LLC dated January 20, 2025, to provide architectural
services for various city projects; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that additional structural assessment services are
required for the Regions Bank Building, and Raker Rhodes has been designated to provide these
specialized services under the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Amendment No. 1 includes an additional amount of
$10,000.00 to cover the cost of these services, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the
building's structural integrity; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the City and its residents to
approve this amendment to ensure the full completion and accuracy of architectural assessments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 1 to the professional services
agreement with INVISION Architecture, LLC, providing for the additional services by Raker
Rhodes for the structural assessment of the Regions Bank Building, totaling $10,000.00.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
