RESOLUTION NO. 2025-375
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH VANDEWALLE & ASSOCIATES INC.,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $72,000.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN IMPLEMENTATION,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is committed to revitalizing and enhancing its
downtown area through strategic planning and development efforts as outlined in the Downtown
Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Vandewalle & Associates Inc. has been identified as a qualified professional
services provider with the expertise necessary to assist in the implementation of the Downtown
Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, a Professional Services Agreement has been proposed in the amount of
$72,000.00 to engage Vandewalle & Associates Inc. for these services, ensuring dedicated
support for downtown revitalization efforts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed agreement and determined that
engaging Vandewalle & Associates Inc. serves the city's strategic goals and public interests;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Professional Services Agreement with
Vandewalle & Associates Inc., in the amount of $72,000.00, for implementing initiatives
identified in the Downtown Master Plan.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
