RESOLUTION NO. 2025-354
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JUNE 26, 2025, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS JULY 7, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES,
CONTRACT NO. D-2025-06-03P, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has determined that there is a need for demolition and
site clearance services to facilitate future development and ensure public safety; and
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, and the form of contract for Contract No.
D-2025-06-03P have been prepared and reviewed by the appropriate department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to proceed with the competitive bid process and
conduct a public hearing to consider any public input regarding the proposed project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the preliminary plans, specifications, and form of
contract for Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2025-06-03P.
2. The date of bid opening is set for June 26, 2025, and a public hearing shall be held on
July 7, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, for the purpose of
considering the Demolition and Site Clearance Services Project, Contract No. D-2025-06-03P.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
