RESOLUTION NO. 2025-357
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY PETERSON CONTRACTORS,
INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$9,218,901.99, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021
SHAULIS ROAD RECONSTRUCTION - HESS ROAD TO
HWY. 218 PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1020, AND RECEIVE
AND FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, has completed the work
specified under Contract No. 1020, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Shaulis Road
Reconstruction - Hess Road to Hwy. 218 Project; and
WHEREAS, the project was completed in accordance with the contract specifications,
plans, and approved amendments, thereby meeting the requirements set forth by the City of
Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the project amounts to $9,218,901.99; and
WHEREAS, a two-year maintenance bond has been submitted as a guarantee for the
completed work, ensuring quality and durability over time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the completion of the Shaulis Road Reconstruction
- Hess Road to Hwy. 218 Project as executed by Peterson Contractors, Inc., under Contract No.
1020.
2. The City Council acknowledges receipt of the two-year maintenance bonds and directs
the City Clerk to file them appropriately as security for the quality and durability of the
construction.
