Prime contractors are required to assist MBE/WBE businesses in overcoming barriers to participation, and must make good faith efforts to secure bids from, and award subcontracts to, MBE/WBE businesses. If the City Contract Compliance Officer does not receive sufficient scope letters seven (7) working days prior to bid opening, goals on subject project will be reduced accordingly. Agreements between the bidder/proposer and an MBE/WBE in which the MBE/WBE promises not to provide subcontracting quotations to other bidders/proposers are prohibited.
