RESOLUTION NO. 2025-396
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT
NO. 2, WITH AECOM, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $35,300.00, FOR A TRAFFIC
ENGINEERING STUDY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 5TH
AND 6TH STREET CONVERSION, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking a project to convert 5th and 6th Streets
for improved traffic flow and community accessibility, which requires expert analysis and
planning; and
WHEREAS, AECOM, Inc., a reputable engineering firm based in Waterloo, Iowa, has
been engaged to provide professional services necessary to conduct a thorough Traffic
Engineering Study to guide these street conversions; and
WHEREAS, Supplemental Agreement No. 2 outlines additional services needed to
address key project requirements and ensure comprehensive traffic engineering analyses, with an
expenditure not to exceed $35,300.00; and
WHEREAS, approving this agreement will enhance the project's planning phase and
facilitate informed decisions that support public safety and efficient urban mobility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with AECOM, Inc., for a Traffic Engineering
Study related to the 5th and 6th Street Conversion, in an amount not to exceed $35,300.00, is
hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
