RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JULY 21, 2025, TO APPROVE A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT
REQUEST BY CEDAR RIVER CONTRACTORS, ON BEHALF
OF K-W ELECTRIC, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 29,900
SQUARE FOOT MANUFACTURING, WAREHOUSE, AND
OFFICE BUILDING LOCATED EAST OF 180 WARP DRIVE,
AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, Cedar River Contractors, on behalf of K-W Electric, has submitted a Site
Plan Amendment request for the construction of a 29,900 square foot manufacturing, warehouse,
and office building to be located east of 180 Warp Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo requires a public hearing be held to consider site plan
amendments in accordance with zoning and planning regulations to ensure that the proposed
developments align with community standards and objectives; and
WHEREAS, setting the date for a public hearing will allow for public feedback and any
necessary examination of the impact of such development on the local community and
infrastructure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. A public hearing on the proposed Site Plan Amendment is hereby set for July 21,
2025, to consider the Site Plan Amendment request for the construction of a 29,900 square foot
manufacturing, warehouse, and office building by Cedar River Contractors, on behalf of K-W
Electric.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
