RESOLUTION NO. 2025-391
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC. OF REINBECK, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $317,080.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 AIRPORT FENCE
RELOCATION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1133, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo has solicited bids for the FY 2026 Airport Fence
Relocation Project, Contract No. 1133, intended to enhance security and improve operational
safety at the Waterloo Regional Airport; and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted the lowest
responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $317,080.00, demonstrating the capability to
fulfill the project requirements consistent with the standards set forth by the City; and
WHEREAS, it is essential to approve the accompanying contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance to formalize the engagement of Peterson Contractors, Inc. and ensure the City is
adequately safeguarded against any associated risks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid from Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa, in the amount of
$317,080.00 is hereby approved for the FY 2026 Airport Fence Relocation Project.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance associated with Contract No. 1133 are
approved, ensuring legal and financial safeguards are in place.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
