RESOLUTION NO. 2025-412
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FAA AIP GRANT NO. 3-19-0094-
057-2025, IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,205,204.00, FOR
REPLACEMENT OF PASSENGER BOARDING BRIDGE AND
FIXED WALKWAY AND REMARK TERMINAL APRON AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ATTORNEY TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has offered Airport
Improvement Program (AIP) Grant No. 3-19-0094-057-2025 to the City to fund significant
infrastructure improvements, including the replacement of the passenger boarding bridge and
fixed walkway, as well as remarking the terminal apron; and
WHEREAS, the grant amount of $2,205,204.00 is vital for enhancing passenger
experience, operational efficiency, and safety measures at the airport; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant is essential for proceeding with the planned
improvements in compliance with FAA standards and requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That FAA AIP Grant No. 3-19-0094-057-2025, in the amount of $2,205,204.00, is
hereby accepted for the replacement of the passenger boarding bridge and fixed walkway and the
remarking of the terminal apron.
2. That the Mayor and City Attorney are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
