RESOLUTION NO. 2025-413
RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AWARD WITH THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT,
CONTRACT NO. 20-CVE 016 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $126,500.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has been awarded a Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) by the Iowa Department of Economic Development under Contract No. 20-CVE
016; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds, in an amount not to exceed $126,500.00, will facilitate
projects aimed at community development and economic enhancement within the City; and
WHEREAS, accepting this grant is crucial for continuing the City's efforts to improve the
quality of life and economic conditions for its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the Community Development Block Grant award from the Iowa Department of
Economic Development, under Contract No. 20-CVE 016, in an amount not to exceed
$126,500.00, is hereby accepted.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
