RESOLUTION NO. 2025-416
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PERMANENT EASEMENT
AGREEMENT, TEMPORARY EASEMENT AGREEMENT,
AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR PAVEMENT REMOVAL WITH
JP MANAGEMENT CORP FOR THE LA PORTE ROAD
PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase II
Reconstruction Project, which necessitates the acquisition of easements from properties located
adjacent to the project area; and
WHEREAS, JP Management Corp, as the owner of property located at 1224 La Porte
Road, has agreed to grant the necessary easements for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo proposes to provide just compensation to JP
Management Corp as follows:
1. Permanent Easement Agreement: In the amount of Ten Thousand One Hundred Eighty-
Four Dollars ($10,184.00).
2. Temporary Easement Agreement: In the amount of Seven Hundred Ninety Dollars
($790.00);
3. Reimbursement for Pavement Removal: In the amount of Six Thousand Six Hundred
Twenty-Eight Dollars ($6,628.00).
WHEREAS, the total just compensation for these easements and the reimbursement is
Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars ($17,602.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The Permanent Easement Agreement, Temporary Easement Agreement, and
Reimbursement for Pavement Removal with JP Management Corp in the total amount of
Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars ($17,602.00) are hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21'day of July 2025.
