RESOLUTION NO. 2025-419
RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT WITH RAP, LLC, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A 4,200 SQUARE FOOT COMMERCIAL BUILDING WITH
A MINIMUM ASSESSED VALUE OF $273,000.00, LOCATED
SOUTH OF 3135 MARNIE AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the importance of promoting economic
development and enhancing property values within the city limits; and
WHEREAS, RAP, LLC, has proposed to construct a 4,200 square foot commercial
building with a minimum assessed value of$273,000.00, located south of 3135 Marnie Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that entering into a Development Agreement with
RAP, LLC will facilitate economic growth and improved land use in this area; and
WHEREAS, public meetings were held, and input was considered regarding this
Development Agreement, ensuring community engagement and transparency; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Waterloo to approve the
Development Agreement to stimulate growth and provide for increased employment
opportunities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The City Council hereby approves the Development Agreement with RAP, LLC for
the construction of the described commercial building located south of 3135 Marnie Avenue.
2. That the Mayor City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
