RESOLUTION NO. 2025-350
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF TIM
OSLAND, FOR A WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY,
LOCATED AT 1009 THORNDALE AVENUE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY AND PLACING A DRIVEWAY OR SIDEWALK
ON THE CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AN UNIMPROVED
STREET.
WHEREAS,the City Council of Waterloo, Iowa, has received a request from Tim Osland
for a waiver to construct a concrete driveway at 1009 Thorndale Avenue; and
WHEREAS,the request includes authorization to place a driveway or sidewalk on the
city right-of-way on an unimproved street; and
WHEREAS,the City Council has considered the request and determined that the waiver
is in the best interest of the public and does not adversely affect the safety, function, or aesthetics
of the neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, appropriate measures will be taken to ensure compliance with applicable
city codes and ordinances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa,that:
1. The request by Tim Osland for a waiver to construct a concrete driveway at 1009
Thorndale Avenue is hereby approved.
2. Tim Osland is authorized to place the driveway or sidewalk on the city right-of-way
on an unimproved street, provided that all construction complies with the requirements set forth
by the City Engineering Department and any other applicable regulations.
