RESOLUTION NO. 2025-475
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH PUBLIC CONSULTING GROUP, IN THE
AMOUNT OF FIVE PERCENT OF FEDERAL SHARE OF
REIMBURSEMENTS RECEIVED FROM PARTICIPATION IN
THE GROUND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORT
PROGRAM FOR EACH COST REPORTING CYCLE
COVERED UNDER SAID AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo provides essential emergency medical transport
services to its residents; and
WHEREAS, the City participates in the Ground Emergency Medical Transport (GEMT)
program, which enables reimbursement for eligible medical transport services; and
WHEREAS, Public Consulting Group has been identified as a qualified provider of
specialized consulting services to assist in maximizing the reimbursement potential for GEMT
services rendered; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has proposed to perform these services for a fee equal to five
percent (5%) of the federal share of reimbursements received from each cost reporting cycle
under the agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City to authorize such services
to ensure accurate and beneficial participation in the GEMT program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Professional Services Agreement with Public
Consulting Group to perform consulting services related to GEMT for a fee of five percent (5%)
of the federal share of reimbursements received for each cost reporting cycle covered under the
agreement.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
