RESOLUTION NO. 2025-476
RESOLUTION APPROVING A TEMPORARY EASEMENT
AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,867.00 WITH JOHN P.
KHAIRALLAH, LOCATED AT 520 LA PORTE ROAD, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE II
RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase II
Reconstruction Project, which necessitates the acquisition of certain temporary easements for
construction purposes; and
WHEREAS, John P. Khairallah, the property owner at 520 La Porte Road, has agreed to
grant a temporary easement to the City to facilitate the completion of the reconstruction project;
and
WHEREAS, the agreed -upon compensation for this temporary easement is two thousand
eight hundred sixty-seven dollars ($2,867.00); and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City to acquire the necessary easements to ensure
the timely and efficient progression of the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Temporary Easement Agreement with John P.
Khairallah for the sum of two thousand eight hundred sixty-seven dollars ($2,867.00) in
conjunction with the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of August 2025.
