RESOLUTION NO. 2025-464
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
SEPTEMBER 15, 2025, TO APPROVE PROPOSED REPAIRS,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 SIDEWALK
INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM — ZONE 5A, AND
APPROVE A REQUEST TO SEND OUT NOTIFICATION TO
PROPERTY OWNERS OF PROPOSED SIDEWALK REPAIRS
AND ESTIMATE OF COSTS, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is conducting the FY 2026 Sidewalk Inspection and
Repair Program — Zone 5A, to assess and address sidewalk conditions, ensuring public safety
and accessibility; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set a date for a public hearing to consider approval of the
proposed repairs and to provide transparency and opportunity for public input; and
WHEREAS, notification must be sent to affected property owners detailing the proposed
repairs and providing estimates of associated costs for transparency and planning purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The public hearing to approve the proposed repairs for the FY 2026 Sidewalk
Inspection and Repair Program — Zone 5A, is set for September 15, 2025.
2. The request to send notifications to property owners regarding proposed sidewalk
repairs and estimated costs is hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk is instructed to publish the required notice, ensuring it meets all legal
publication requirements and deadlines to facilitate public awareness and involvement.
