RESOLUTION NO. 2025-466
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY OWEN CONTRACTING, INC.,
OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2,328,474.30, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
RECONSTRUCTION OF TAXIWAY A WEST, FAA AIP
PROJECT NO. 3-19-0094-056-2023 BIL.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo entered into a contract with Owen Contracting, Inc., of
Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the reconstruction of Taxiway A West, under FAA Airport Improvement
Program (AIP) Project No. 3-19-0094-056-2023 BIL; and
WHEREAS, Owen Contracting, Inc. has completed the work in substantial accordance
with the plans and specifications set forth by the City of Waterloo and the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA); and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the completed work amounts to $2,328,474.30; and
WHEREAS, a final inspection has been conducted to ascertain the compliance of the
completed work with all project requirements, and it has been confirmed that all work has been
completed satisfactorily; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the completion of the Reconstruction of Taxiway A
West, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-056-2023 BIL, performed by Owen Contracting, Inc.
2. The work performed by Owen Contracting, Inc. is hereby accepted as being completed
in accordance with the contract specifications and requirements.
