RESOLUTION NO. 2012-1096
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO VIETH
CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION OF CEDAR FALLS,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $468,094.00, AND
APPROVING CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE F.Y. 2012
CHAMBERLAIN DEMOLITION PHASE 3 - 550 ESTHER
STREET, CONTRACT NO. 806.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bond and Certificate of Insurance with
Vieth Construction Corporation of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the
amount of $468,094.00, in conjunction with the F.Y. 2012
Chamberlain Demolition Phase 3 - 550 Esther Street, Contract No.
806, described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted
by this Council for said project in Resolution No. 2012-561,
after public hearing on June 11, 2012 on published notice
required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being the
lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of November, 2012.
