RESOLUTION NO. 2025-486
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE PREVIOUSLY AWARDED BID TO GEMS TECHNICAL
SERVICES, INC, FAA AIP PROJECT NO. 3-19-0094-057-2025,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo awarded a bid to GEMS Technical Services, Inc. for
FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-057-2025, Passenger Boarding Bridge Project; and
WHEREAS the bid for this project was previously awarded to Gems Technical Services,
Inc., who has submitted the necessary contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for the
project; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these documents is essential to affirm the contractual
relationship, secure performance through bonding, and ensure insurance coverage for the
duration of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. That the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance associated with FAA AIP Project
No. 3-19-0094-057-2025, submitted by Gems Technical Services, Inc., are hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
