RESOLUTION NO. 2025-487
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IOWA DOT FY-2026
COMMERCIAL SERVICE VERTICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
GRANT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $123,103.00, FOR TERMINAL
RENOVATIONS (PAINT AND CARPET).
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has been awarded an Iowa Department of
Transportation (DOT) FY-2026 Commercial Service Vertical Infrastructure Grant in the amount
of $123,103.00; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds are designated for terminal renovations at the City of
Waterloo airport facility, specifically for enhancements including new paint and carpet
installations, which are integral to maintaining and improving airport infrastructure and service
quality; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of this grant will significantly contribute to the airport's
ability to enhance passenger experience, uphold safety and operational standards, and promote
future growth and development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Iowa DOT FY-2026 Commercial Service Vertical Infrastructure Grant in the
amount of $123,103.00 is hereby accepted, and the City of Waterloo is committed to using these
funds specifically for terminal renovations including paint and carpet, as outlined in the grant
agreement.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
