RESOLUTION NO. 2025-489
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY LODGE CONSTRUCTION,
INC., OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$120,191.70, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024
SULENTIC PARK SHELTER, CONTRACT NO. 1105, AND
RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. of Clarksville, Iowa, has completed the work on
the FY 2024 Sulentic Park Shelter, Contract No. 1105, in accordance with the approved plans
and specifications; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of the work completed is $120,191.70, and all contractual
obligations have been fulfilled to the satisfaction of the City of Waterloo and its engineering
consultants; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the city engineer that the completed work be
formally accepted by the City Council, and that the project be officially closed; and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. has provided a two-year maintenance bond which
ensures continued serviceability of the work performed and adherence to any warranty
obligations during this period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The completed project for the FY 2024 Sulentic Park Shelter, as performed by Lodge
Construction, Inc. under Contract No. 1105, is hereby formally accepted.
2. The two-year maintenance bond submitted by Lodge Construction, Inc. is hereby
received and filed, ensuring compliance with maintenance obligations and providing security for
the city in relation to the performance of the completed work.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September 2025.
