RESOLUTION NO. 2025-490
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT AB-
2025-08-01P.
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and a form of contract have been prepared for the
provision of essential asbestos abatement services identified as Contract No. AB-2025-08-01P;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed asbestos abatement is essential to comply with safety, health,
and environmental regulations, ensuring the removal of hazardous materials from designated
municipal facilities; and
WHEREAS, these documents have been reviewed and demonstrated to meet all relevant
requirements and standards necessary for safe, effective, and compliant asbestos abatement
operations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of proceeding promptly and
efficiently with these services to address potential health risks and facilitate subsequent
construction or renovation activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The plans, specifications, and form of contract for the asbestos abatement services
under Contract No. AB-2025-08-01P are hereby confirmed and approved.
2. Authorization is granted to proceed with the asbestos abatement services in strict
accordance with the approved plans and specifications, ensuring adherence to all applicable
safety and environmental guidelines.
