RESOLUTION NO. 2025-491
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $115,000.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT AB-2025-
08-01P, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 310 UPLAND DRIVE,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has solicited bids for asbestos abatement services for
the property located at 310 Upland Drive, under Contract No. AB-2025-08-01P; and
WHEREAS, Advanced Environmental of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of $115,000.00, which has been reviewed and determined to be the most responsible and
responsive bid meeting all established criteria and requirements; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Waterloo to proceed with the
engagement of Advanced Environmental to perform the necessary asbestos abatement services to
ensure compliance with environmental regulations and public safety standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid submitted by Advanced Environmental of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of
$115,000.00, is hereby approved for asbestos abatement services associated with Contract No.
AB-2025-08-01P for the property located at 310 Upland Drive.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
