RESOLUTION NO. 2025-494
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
ROUTEWARE, INC. OF PORTLAND, OREGON, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $6,995.42 WITH A SUBSCRIPTION FEE
INCREASE OF NOT MORE THAN FOUR PERCENT DURING
YEARS TWO AND THREE OF A THIRTY -SIX-MONTH
CONTRACT, IN CONJUNCTION WITH SANITATION
COLLECTION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo seeks to enhance its sanitation collection operations
through the implementation of advanced technology solutions and has identified Routeware, Inc.
of Portland, Oregon, as a suitable service provider; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been proposed with Routeware, Inc. in the amount of
$6,995.42, associated with a comprehensive solution for optimizing sanitation collection
services; and
WHEREAS, the agreement stipulates that any subscription fee increase shall not exceed
four percent during years two and three of the thirty -six-month contract duration, ensuring
budget predictability and financial responsibility; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the municipality to formalize this agreement to
improve efficiency and service delivery within the sanitation department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The agreement with Routeware, Inc. of Portland, Oregon, in the amount of $6,995.42,
with a subscription fee increase cap of not more than four percent in subsequent years, is hereby
approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
