RESOLUTION NO. 2025-502
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PERMANENT EASEMENT
AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,418.00, AND A
TEMPORARY EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT
OF $1,827.00, WITH FARMERS STATE BANK, LOCATED
WEST OF 301 TOWER PARK DRIVE, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE WINN STREET SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking the Winn Street sanitary sewer
extension project to enhance and expand the municipal sanitary sewer infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, permanent and temporary easements are required across property owned by
Farmers State Bank, located west of 301 Tower Park Drive, to facilitate the construction and
maintenance of this infrastructure project; and
WHEREAS, Farmers State Bank has agreed to grant the City a permanent easement in
the amount of $20,418.00 and a temporary easement in the amount of $1,827.00, which are
necessary for the completion and future accessibility of the sewer extension project; and
WHEREAS, entering into these easement agreements is essential for the progress of the
Winn Street sanitary sewer extension project, thereby improving public utility services and
supporting community development objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Permanent Easement Agreement in the amount of$20,418.00 and the Temporary
Easement Agreement in the amount of$1,827.00 with Farmers State Bank, for property located
west of 301 Tower Park Drive, are hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2"d day of September 2025.
