BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS a request has been submitted by Malcolm Cleope to rezone approximately 0.27 acres of land from "C-2" Commercial District to "C-2, C-Z"Conditional Zoning District, and legally described as follows: DOWNING PLACE LOT 5 BLOCK 3 LOT 6 BLOCK 3 WHEREAS, the amendment is requested to allow an aquaculture shrimp farming wholesale business located at 2625 Falls Avenue. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, after a public hearing, has approved the request and recommended the City Council to amend the Official Zoning Map accordingly, and WHEREAS, this amendment is deemed to be in accordance with the City's comprehensive plan as it serves to accommodate planned residential growth and ensure the efficient use of land and resources. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: 1. Ordinance No. 5079, as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zoning classification of the above described property, located at 2626 Falls Avenue, from "C-2" Commercial District to "C-2, C-Z" Conditional Zoning District,. 2. The Official Zoning Map referred to in Section 10-4-4 of the Waterloo City Code is hereby amended in accordance with the change in zoning classification set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
