RESOLUTION NO. 2012-1016
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF WATERLOO
CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU, GROUT MUSEUM
DISTRICT AND TREKMAN RACING TO HOLD 5K AND 10K
RACES ON NOVEMBER 3, 2012.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Convention and Visitors Bureau, Grout
Museum District and Trekman Racing have requested that they be
allowed to hold 5K and 10K races on November 3, 2012, together
with the approval of the Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the route
traveling through downtown streets and ending on West Park Avenue
near the RiverLoop Expo Grounds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Waterloo Convention and
Visitors Bureau, Grout Museum District and Trekman Racing to hold
5K and 10K races on November 3, 2012, beginning at 9:00 a.m.,
with the route traveling through downtown streets and ending on
West Park Avenue near the RiverLoop Expo Grounds, be and the same
is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 2012.
