RESOLUTION NO. 2025-526
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF
SPECIFICATIONS, BID DOCUMENTS, FORM OF
CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING PROCEEDINGS IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE BROADWAY STREET CMAQ
TRAFFIC SIGNALS, FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION,
BROADWAY STREET, US 63 NORTH 4.2 MILES TO US 218,
CONTRACT NO. 07-8155-785.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is implementing the Broadway Street CMAQ Traffic
Signals and Fiber Optic Installation project to enhance traffic communication systems from US
63 north to US 218, under Contract No. 07-8155-785; and
WHEREAS, comprehensive specifications, bid documents, and a form of contract have
been meticulously prepared to guide the project's execution; and
WHEREAS, these documents have been reviewed to ensure compliance with applicable
federal, state, and local regulations, reflecting best practices for the intended improvements; and
WHEREAS, public notifications have been made, and hearings have been conducted to
gather community feedback, ensuring the project's alignment with public interest and legal
requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. That the specifications, bid documents, and form of contract for the Broadway Street
CMAQ Traffic Signals and Fiber Optic Installation project are hereby approved and confirmed.
2. The Traffic Department is authorized to proceed with the bidding and execution
processes using the approved documents as the framework for all contractual and operational
actions.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of September 2025.
