RESOLUTION NO. 2025-508 RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS OCTOBER 6, 2025, TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY TO THE SOUTHWEST OF 3211 TITAN TRAIL, TO XCEL ELECTRIC LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 4,000 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING, INCLUDING A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns property located to the southwest of 3211 Titan Trail; and WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo proposes to sell and convey a portion of said property to Xcel Electric LLC for the amount of $1.00, with a Development Agreement stipulating the construction of a 4,000 square foot building on the property; and WHEREAS, Iowa law requires a public hearing prior to the conveyance of city -owned property to ensure transparency and public participation; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to set a date for the public hearing to discuss this proposed sale and conveyance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The public hearing be set for October 6, 2025, to consider the proposed sale and conveyance of a portion of the city -owned property to the southwest of 3211 Titan Trail to Xcel Electric LLC. 2. The terms and conditions include the sale amount of $1.00 and a Development Agreement, requiring the construction of a 4,000 square foot building by Xcel Electric LLC. 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
