RESOLUTION NO. 2025-513
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF THE BID TO
ASPRO, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$24,750.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2025 FURGERSON FIELDS BASKTETBALL COURT
OVERLAY PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has undertaken the FY 2025 Furgerson Fields
Basketball Court Overlay Project to enhance and maintain the quality of public recreational
facilities; and
WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the said project, and Aspro, Inc., located in Waterloo,
Iowa, submitted the most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $24,750.00; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City to accept the bid from Aspro, Inc.
to carry out the project as specified; and
WHEREAS, the Contract and Certificate of Insurance have been reviewed and are hereby
submitted for approval, ensuring that they meet the necessary legal and operational requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid submitted by Aspro, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of Twenty -Four
Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($24,750.00) for the FY 2025 Furgerson Fields
Basketball Court Overlay Project is hereby approved.
2. The contract and certificate of insurance are hereby approved in form and content,
ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines and requirements.
3. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
