RESOLUTION NO. 2025-518
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION
OF NECESSITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026
SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 5A,
CONTRACT NO. 1127.
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to maintain sidewalks within the City of Waterloo
to ensure safety, accessibility, and aesthetic standards; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has identified the need for repairs and improvements in
Zone 5A as part of the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program, designated under
Contract No. 1127; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Proposed Resolution of Necessity that
details the scope of required repairs, costs, and assessment methods to be used for the
improvements within Zone 5A; and
WHEREAS, all required notices have been given and public hearings have been
conducted in accordance with state and local laws to gather public input on the proposed
assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered any objections, suggestions, or
amendments posed by the public and stakeholders regarding the proposed resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Proposed Resolution of Necessity for the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair Assessment
Program - Zone 5A, Contract No. 1127, is hereby adopted as proposed or as amended following
public consultation and council deliberation.
