RESOLUTION NO. 2025-519
RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION
OF SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2026 SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
- ZONE 5A, CONTRACT NO. 1127.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is committed to maintaining and improving pedestrian
infrastructure by ensuring sidewalks are safe, accessible, and meet established standards; and
WHEREAS, the City has initiated the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program
targeting Zone 5A, as defined under Contract No. 1127, to ameliorate existing sidewalk
conditions; and
WHEREAS, the proposed construction improvements have been planned following
thorough assessments and public consultations to ensure they meet the community's needs and
align with city policy and budget constraints; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and discussed the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, and estimated construction costs for these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The proposed construction of sidewalk improvements in Zone 5A under Contract No.
1127 is hereby approved as part of the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program.
