RESOLUTION NO. 2025-521
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PROPOSED PLAT,
SCHEDULE OF ASSESSMENTS, AND ESTIMATE OF COSTS
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 SIDEWALK REPAIR
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM UNDER CONTRACT NO. 1127.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is advancing the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair Assessment
Program aimed at improving pedestrian infrastructure as detailed in Contract No. 1127; and
WHEREAS, a proposed plat and schedule of assessments, along with an estimate of the
associated costs, have been prepared and presented to the Council; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt these documents to proceed with the program,
ensuring clear communication of the scope, costs, and assessments to property owners; and
WHEREAS, public notices have been duly given, and hearings have been held to allow
for community input regarding the proposed improvements and assessments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The proposed plat, schedule of assessments, and estimate of costs for the FY 2026
Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program under Contract No. 1127 are hereby adopted as presented.
2. These documents shall form the basis for executing the sidewalk improvements and
for assessing the costs to the respective benefited properties, ensuring transparency and fairness.
3. The Engineering Department is authorized to proceed with the implementation of these
plans, adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
