RESOLUTION NO. 2025-522
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF THE PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND
AUTHORIZING PROCEEDINGS IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2026 SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
UNDER CONTRACT NO. 1127.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is committed to enhancing pedestrian infrastructure
through the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program, detailed under Contract No. 1127;
and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, and a form of contract have been prepared and
reviewed in order to accomplish the necessary sidewalk improvements within the specified zone;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held public hearings and fully considered any inputs
regarding these plans, ensuring that they align with community needs and statutory requirements;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to formally approve these documents and authorize
proceeding with the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The plans, specifications, and form of contract for the FY 2026 Sidewalk Repair
Assessment Program under Contract No. 1127 are hereby approved.
2. The Engineering Department is authorized to proceed with the execution of the
contract and the commencement of work, ensuring compliance with all applicable municipal,
state, and federal laws.
