RESOLUTION NO. 2025-567 RESOLUTION APPROVING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO A REAL ESTATE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH JOHN. R. WOLFE AND MARGARET A. WOLFE, AMENDING THE TIMELINE ON THE PURCHASE OF TRACT 2 PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo previously entered into a Real Estate Purchase Agreement with John R. Wolfe and Margaret A. Wolfe for the acquisition of Tract 2 property; and WHEREAS, circumstances necessitate an amendment to the timeline specified in the original agreement to facilitate a smooth transaction process; and WHEREAS, both parties have agreed to the revised timeline as outlined in the First Amendment to the Real Estate Purchase Agreement; and WHEREAS, it is essential for the City Council to approve this amendment to ensure the acquisition proceeds in alignment with municipal plans and obligations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The First Amendment to the Real Estate Purchase Agreement with John R. Wolfe and Margaret A. Wolfe, amending the timeline for the purchase of Tract 2 property, is hereby approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of October 2025.
