RESOLUTION NO. 2025-552
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN IDOT AIR SERVICE
DEVELOPMENT GRANT AGREEMENT, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $48,000.00, FOR THE PROMOTION OF PASSENGER AIR
SERVICE FROM THE WATERLOO REGIONAL AIRPORT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF
AVIATION TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Regional Airport has been awarded an Air Service
Development Grant from the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) in the amount of
$48,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to promote and enhance passenger air service at
the Waterloo Regional Airport; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant will provide necessary funding to support marketing
and promotional activities aimed at increasing passenger traffic; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Waterloo to formally accept the grant
agreement and authorize execution to utilize the awarded funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The IDOT Air Service Development Grant Agreement in the amount of $48,000.00 is
hereby accepted.
2. The acceptance and execution of this grant agreement ensures the enhancement of
passenger air service at Waterloo Regional Airport in alignment with the City's transportation
goals
3. The Mayor and Director of Aviation are authorized and directed to execute said
document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
