RESOLUTION NO. 2025-557
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $280,613.50, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 WINN STREET
SANITARY SEWER, CONTRACT NO. 1134, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS bids were solicited for the FY 2026 Winn Street Sanitary Sewer project,
Contract No. 1134; and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted the lowest
responsible bid in the amount of $280,613.50; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance for
the project to proceed effectively and in compliance with city and state regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. That the bid submitted by Peterson Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $280,613.50 is
hereby accepted and approved.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance for the FY 2026 Winn Street Sanitary
Sewer, Contract No. 1134, are hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
