RESOLUTION NO. 2025-562 RESOLUTION APPROVING A PERMANENT EASEMENT AGREEMENT AND TEMPORARY EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,802.00, WITH CASEY'S MARKETING COMPANY, LOCATED AT 1604 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase 11 Reconstruction Project to improve infrastructure and enhance transportation efficiency; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire both a permanent easement and a temporary easement at the property located at 1604 La Porte Road, owned by Casey's Marketing Company, to facilitate this project; and WHEREAS,negotiations have resulted in an agreed compensation of$1,802.00 for the grant of these easements; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Waterloo to approve these easement agreements to ensure the successful completion of the reconstruction project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The Permanent Easement Agreement and Temporary Easement Agreement with Casey's Marketing Company, in the amount of$1,802.00, are hereby approved. 2. The easement agreement is necessary for the successful execution and completion of the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project, ensuring public benefit and infrastructure improvement. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of October 2025.
