RESOLUTION NO. 2025-578
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO MIDSTATE
SOLUTION, LLC, OF BAXTER, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$230,786.93, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2026 SIDEWALK INFILL, SIDEWALK RAMP AND
TRAIL REPAIR PROGRAM - ZONE 5A, CONTRACT NO.
1131, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has duly advertised and solicited bids for the FY
2026 Sidewalk Infill, Sidewalk Ramp and Trail Repair Program - Zone 5A, Contract No. 1131;
and
WHEREAS, MidState Solution, LLC, of Baxter, Iowa, has submitted the lowest
responsible bid in the amount of $230,786.93, meeting all required specifications for the project;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to
accept the bid from MidState Solution, LLC, and proceed with the project to improve pedestrian
infrastructure within Zone 5A; and
WHEREAS, the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance have been reviewed and are
in compliance with the City's requirements and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The bid submitted by MidState Solution, LLC, of Baxter, Iowa, in the amount of
$230,786.93 for the FY 2026 Sidewalk Infilt, Sidewalk Ramp and Trail Repair Program - Zone
5A, Contract No. 1131, is hereby approved.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance in connection with the project are
hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
